Media Composer and Musician

My name's Chris, and I'm a composer for visual media. I've just graduated with a master's degree in Composition of Music for Film and Television from the University of Bristol. I play piano and alto saxophone, having reached Grade 8 in both instruments, and  graduated from Cardiff University with a First Class Honours in my Bachelor of Music degree in 2020. During my time at university I focused on perfecting my compositional skills as well as scoring amateur films. Currently, I am working at Oxford University Press, dealing with the promotion and organisation of OUP's impressive music catalogue.

About My Music

I have written the music for two plays (which were performed at Theatr Clwyd, among other venues), as well as working with student animators and filmmakers throughout my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. During my master's course, for example, I wrote music for film, animation, games, library music, and also worked on sound design and post-production.

As well as my film projects, I have written classical (or 'art') music throughout my university degrees. I also have plenty of live performance experience, having given numerous solo piano and saxophone recitals, as well as accompanying other soloists.
